I am going to try to go to Louisiana for a few days to help out with the relief from hurricane Katrina. I can't just sit here comfortably in my house and let people only 8 hours away die and suffer. I have never felt this way before, this convicted about this before.

I just want to go. I don't care about logistics or gas or anything. I want to help.

God, please let me be Your hands and feet. Please guide me and my passions to do Your will, not mine. Please let me help.

I am willing. Mittere me, Dominus Deus.

The video for the song "Can I Live" by Nick Cannon is amazing. I am floored by this. The best pro-life message I have seen in a long time, and it's from a hip-hop artist. It is a sign of hope. I mean, you have to go check it out at his website, nickcannonmusic.com

I think that this is something that hits me so close because I am in the same situation as Nick Cannon. I know what he means, and I love this song, because I can dedicate it to my amazing mother, who gave me the greatest gift ever: life. A chance.

When abortion is just about pain, about a woman in a hard situation, it seems a lot different.

But think about it like this. Think about the MILLIONS of kids like me. Like Nick Cannon. Look at what he's done. Look at what I've done. If I've ever impacted your life.

We are people. People that could have never existed if our mothers had made one decision differently.

I am not condemning women. I understand the best way I can, by talking to my mother. I know the hard situation she was in. But I also know this: I love my life. I love EXISTING. And I never want anyone to be denied that chance. The chance to EXIST.

Without the Eucharist, life is not worth living.

Lord, grant me humility and selflessness. Let me find it in this day.

Let me see Christ in others.

Let me live a life UNASHAMED.

Hey in case none of you guys knew this, The Format freaking rocks! I just became with this girl from AZ who goes to FUS, and even she hadn't heard of the Format... but now she knows they're awesome.

I have realized how regional bands are. Like Guster, OAR, Dispatch, and all these east coast bands. And JEW, Format, Yellowcard, and like every San Diego band too...

...yesterday my roomate and I were talking about how different musical tastes are in different regions. Because we realized how different college life is in different places. Somewhere like Boston, your school is your life, and you don't really go anywhere else except sometimes to eat or see a movie. In AZ, it's totally different, because you can go to CA for a weekend, or all over the city to do stuff.

I love the West Coast. God bless it.

Peace.
